Are your parents berating you for not believing in monotheist false history and miracles? They are distorting your reality and making you deny facts, that is not ok
Monotheists often promote false histories. Here are a few:
- Human civilization is only 6,000 years old
- All the kinds of animals of the earth fit on Noah's ark
- There was a universal monotheistic religion promulgated by Noah when he left the ark and in the beginning, all people were monotheists before they fell into paganism. There is no evidence of a worldwide monotheistic culture before Judaism, most societies were polytheistic.
- Before the flood it did not rain and the earth was surrounded by a water canopy that gave the entire earth a temperate climate.
- Both saltwater and freshwater fish lived in the brackish sea created by the flood
- Wild animals at first were all vegetarian, even lions and tigers
- The Jews were held captive in Egypt and escaped.
- The Pyramids are older than the flood or were built by Noah
- The Kabba was built by Abraham.
- Human life started in the Garden of Eden.
- Islam existed in some way the entire time before Muhammad revealed it. Characters like Moses, Abraham, and Jesus were Muslims.
- Arabia was once Muslim before Muhammad but fell into idolatry (there is no evidence of an Arab monotheistic religion prior to Muhammad).
- Moses split the sea with a stick
- Jesus walked on water
- The moon was split
- Moses got water from a stone
- Bread fell from heaven for the Israelites
- The Israelites followed a pillar of fire in the sky to Israel
- A Jewish intrigue had 75,000 people murdered in Persia (The Book of Esther in the Bible and the Jewish holiday of Purim).
- Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by fire
- Human-angel hybrid giants once roamed the land
It is safe to say none of these things ever happened and to believe so is insane and has no historical basis. Are you being told this is the only legitimate version of history? Are you being scolded for not believing it? Are you being called arrogant, misled, rebellious, and stupid for believing in standard history? This is very common behavior from monotheist parents and you need ways to protect your sense of reality and mental health, they are distorting your reality.
So what do you do? First, simply don't believe your parents and don't be scared of going to hell for not believing these things. Only the monotheistic god would ask you to affirm such nonsense or perish and burn for eternity. Cling to your polytheistic deities and your belief in a good afterlife as long as you follow the laws of Secular Paganism, which are: no monotheism/bitheism, protect blasphemy, no sexual regulation of adult humans (but maintain a positive birth rate), no murder, no theft, no animal cruelty or unnecessary environmental destruction, set up courts of justice. Learn more about Secular Paganism (here). It is hard to believe an honest person who rejects false histories would go to hell, isn't it noble to pursue truth and logic? Isn't that ethical? It is your parents who are unethical and if anyone is going to hell it is them.
So if you are being scolded for believing in facts, legitimate history, and reject claims of miracles, you need to let teachers at school know, and let your classmates know too. At this point in history it is likely not considered abuse to send your child to bed with no dinner because they don't believe lions, created as they are now, ate only vegetation in the beginning. This must become illegal and is only one of many laws children can advocate for or pass when they grow up. Here is a list of laws that need to be passed to protect children's spiritual rights (here).
If there was a Creation, there must have been a Creation, and ethical monotheists believe that Creator to have been the Abrahamic God. What's so hard to believe about this?
ReplyDeleteWhat's the problem with telling children that when they are old enough to make their political opinions matter, they could go to hell if they vote for the wrong party or support the wrong political system and do not repent before they die?
